By now, it is no secret that Riverlands is one of our favourite wedding venues.
So it was a real pleasure to be back there again for Sarah and Mike’s wedding day.
They are the kind of couple you instantly connect with. Warm, kind and completely family-focused. We got to know them really well throughout their journey, so being there to capture their day meant a lot to us.
The Venue: Riverlands
For couples looking for something a little different, Riverlands is a perfect choice.
Set on a beautiful working farm, it offers a relaxed and rustic setting that feels personal from the moment you arrive.
The ceremony takes place in the 18th century brick barn, followed by celebrations in the wooden party barn. The whole venue has a natural, laid-back energy that works perfectly with our style of photography.
It is a place where weddings feel real, unforced and full of character. We love being a Riverlands Wedding Photographer!

Their Story
As Mike said in his speech, their story really is a true love story.
Things moved quickly for them, but in the best possible way. It felt like they had been waiting their whole lives to meet each other.
Mike proposed on Christmas Day 2022, surprising both Sarah and her daughter, Willow.
It was not just a proposal to Sarah. He also asked Willow if she would become his stepdaughter.
It was an emotional moment, full of happy tears, and an easy yes from both of them.

Finding the Perfect Venue
Just a month later, they began planning their wedding.
When they discovered Riverlands, everything fell into place.
It offered exactly what they were looking for. A relaxed setting, rustic surroundings, and a space that allowed them to celebrate properly with their closest friends and family.
From the ceremony through to the evening party, it gave them the freedom to create a day that felt completely their own.

Final Thoughts
Sarah and Mike’s wedding was full of warmth, emotion and genuine connection.
It was a day that felt effortless, with every moment unfolding naturally.
Being there to capture it was a privilege, and one we will not forget.
