Hey! We are Richard and Christine, husband and wife, dreamers, chatterboxes and owners of Kazooieloki Wedding Photographer.
We live with our two boys, 4 dogs and 2 cats in our beautiful Georgian Town House in the North Lincolnshire Village of Barrow Upon Humber.
One question we often get asked is what our name means and how you pronounce it.
To cut a long story short we are named after our two huskies, Kazooie and Loki, Kazooie is named after the bird in the arcade game Banjo and Kazooie and Loki is named after the crazy Norse God as she is as mad as a hatter.
As you get to know us you will see that Richard can talk for England and Christine is full of smiles and fun so there is never dull moment.
The biggest compliment our couples always give us is there always comfortable and relaxed in our company and that they felt we were more like guests.
We started our wedding photography business in 2012 with a passion for capturing love stories in a natural and timeless way.
Over the years, our style has evolved, and we’ve had the privilege of photographing hundreds of weddings across the UK, from elegant celebrations in the Dales as Yorkshire Wedding Photographers, to countryside estates as Lincolnshire Wedding Photographers, and breathtaking ceremonies among the lakes and fells as Lake District Wedding Photographers.
Our journey has taken us to some of the most iconic venues, including St Paul’s Cathedral and Westminster Abbey, where we’ve had the honour of documenting unforgettable moments.
One of our most remarkable experiences was photographing King Charles, a testament to the trust, experience, and reputation we’ve built over the years.
With our backgrounds in photography and design, we were asked to capture a friend’s wedding in 2012.
From that moment, we were hooked! Wedding Photography, in a way, chose us.
Like many photographers, we spent the first couple of years balancing weddings alongside our day jobs. Eventually, we took the leap, left our jobs, and have never looked back.
Over the past 13 years, we’ve gained invaluable experience photographing weddings. Along with that experience, we’ve built a deep sense of confidence that, combined with our passion, allows us to consistently deliver work we are truly proud of.
Natural, Emotive, Heartfelt Wedding Photography
We try not to pigeon hole ourselves in one of the main wedding photography categories as our style is very much “our own” and we will shoot your wedding Kazooieloki Style.
But if you were looking to best describe how we approach a wedding day it would be a natural photojournalistic approach with the obvious artistic look to our couples portraits.
Documentary/photojournalistic wedding photography is a style of photography that focuses on capturing the real, raw moments of your wedding day without staging or directing.
Our approach emphasizes capturing genuine emotions and spontaneous interactions, therefore creating a visual narrative that reflects the true essence of your special day.
Testimonial
Kazooieloki were amazing and gave us exactly what we wanted.
We’ve always said we didn’t want to waste time being taken away from our guests for large chunks of the day to have staged photos and miss out on everything going on around us, and not only did they manage to capture the most amazing action shots and natural photos we wanted to look back on, but they also managed to quickly get all of the essential family pics we wanted as well leaving us to have more time to mingle and enjoy the party!
They made us feel so comfortable to be ourselves and the photos are definitely a reflection of that.

FAQs
01. How do we book you for the wedding?
Our booking process is quite simple. After your initial enquiry and deciding you would like us to photograph your wedding, we require a deposit of £450 to secure the date, with your final balance due no later than 2 months before your wedding date.
02. Do you travel for destination weddings?
We are lucky enough to have photographed weddings all across the UK and Europe, so yes, we love to travel to shoot weddings.
We firmly believe this is one of the reasons our work stays fresh and vibrant, as our place of work can vary from Birmingham to Bordeaux!
03. Do you photograph family photos on the wedding day?
This is a question we often get asked due to our style being natural. We do photograph family photos at weddings but keep the number to a pre-selected handful so we can get on with documenting the action as it unfolds.
04. Do you offer engagement sessions?
We do, and we love them. They are an amazing way to meet up and break the ice ahead of your big day.
Our couples have always said how beneficial they are and that they made them realise having their photo taken wasn’t so hard.
