For this blog, we are showcasing Anna and Ben’s beautiful wedding at Bardney Hall in Lincolnshire.
A day full of love, personality and everything coming together exactly as it should.
The Venue: Bardney Hall
Bardney Hall is a venue full of history and character.
Originally built in the early 1700s as a private residence, it sits on the site of Bardney Abbey Rectory, a location with deep roots in Lincolnshire’s past.
There is even a long-standing story of a secret tunnel leading to nearby Thornton Abbey, although it has never been discovered.
Over the years, the building has served many purposes, including time as a convent school, before becoming the boutique wedding venue it is today.
Now run by Claire and Hannah Sutton, Bardney Hall has been beautifully transformed into a stylish and welcoming space while still retaining its original charm.
It is also our closest venue, and one we always love returning to.

The Build Up
We met Anna and Ben in the week leading up to the wedding to go through the final details.
It quickly became clear how different they are in personality.
Ben is incredibly laid back, calm and relaxed. Anna, on the other hand, is wonderfully detail-focused and had planned every part of the day to perfection.
One thing she had always dreamed of was an outdoor ceremony.
As the week went on, the forecast began to look uncertain, and understandably, there were a few nerves about whether that dream would become a reality.
The Wedding Day
When the day finally arrived, everything changed.
The weather held perfectly, and the outdoor ceremony Anna had imagined came to life exactly as planned.
Surrounded by their friends and family, Anna and Ben said their vows in the setting they had hoped for, with sunshine throughout the day.
It felt like everything had aligned at just the right moment.

Final Thoughts
Anna and Ben’s wedding was a reminder that sometimes everything does fall into place.
From the planning and anticipation to the final moments of the day, it all came together beautifully.
They are two genuinely lovely people, and we felt incredibly proud to be there to capture it all.
