Sophie & Jake’s Washingborough Hall Wedding

Sophie & Jake’s Washingborough Hall Wedding

Lincolnshire Wedding Venues

When it comes to elegant countryside weddings in Lincolnshire, it’s hard to beat Washingborough Hall. As a Lincolnshire wedding photographer, I’m lucky enough to photograph weddings at some incredible venues, and Sophie and Jake’s beautiful celebration at Washingborough Hall was one I’ll never forget.

After spending over 15 years together, these high school sweethearts finally said “I do” surrounded by their closest family and friends. Their wedding was filled with genuine emotion, timeless style, and effortless romance from beginning to end.

A Beautiful Morning at Washingborough Hall

One of the wonderful things about a Washingborough Hall wedding is being able to spend the entire day in one stunning location.

Both Sophie and Jake chose to get ready at the venue, allowing for a relaxed morning without any travelling between locations. The elegant bedrooms and beautiful natural light made the perfect backdrop for those quiet moments before the ceremony.

There was such a calm atmosphere throughout the morning, mixed with plenty of excitement as friends and family gathered to celebrate.

An Emotional Ceremony

Their ceremony was everything you could hope for—full of emotion, laughter and happy tears.

After 15 years together, you could truly feel the depth of their relationship. Their vows carried so much meaning, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room as they officially became husband and wife.

Jake looked incredibly sharp in a classic black tie suit, while Sophie looked absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle.

Vogue-Inspired Wedding Portraits

One of my favourite parts of the day was creating Sophie and Jake’s couple portraits.

Having spent more of their lives together than apart, they were completely at ease with one another. There was no awkwardness or forced posing—just genuine connection.

This allowed us to create a collection of timeless, editorial-inspired portraits with a real Vogue feel, while still capturing the natural chemistry between them.

The beautiful gardens and elegant grounds at Washingborough Hall provide so many incredible locations for portraits, making it one of my favourite venues as a Lincolnshire wedding photographer.

Relaxed Celebrations with Family & Friends

The entire day had such a relaxed atmosphere.

Instead of rushing from one part of the wedding to the next, Sophie and Jake simply enjoyed spending time with the people they love most. There were hugs, laughter, garden drinks and plenty of unforgettable moments throughout the afternoon.

The speeches were especially emotional, with stories spanning their 15 years together that had everyone laughing one minute and reaching for tissues the next.

A Golden Hour Ending

As the evening light softened across the grounds of Washingborough Hall, we slipped away for one final set of portraits.

Golden hour always brings something magical to wedding photography, and these images perfectly reflected Sophie and Jake’s relationship—calm, effortless and full of love.

Their day finished with the most beautiful golden light as they celebrated into the evening surrounded by everyone who means the most to them.
