Kazooieloki love being recommended Burghley House wedding photographers, and some weddings stay with you from the very first moment. Eloise and Jake’s black-tie celebration at Burghley House was one of those days.
From relaxed, laughter-filled morning preparations to a packed and energetic dance floor, their wedding was the perfect balance of elegance, emotion and timeless style.
The Venue: Burghley House
When it comes to wedding venues, few places compare to the beauty of Burghley House.
This stunning Elizabethan estate, set on the edge of Stamford, never fails to impress. Every time we photograph a wedding here, we find something new to fall in love with.
The sweeping grounds, grand architecture and endless backdrops make it an incredible setting for both couples and photographers.
From the dramatic façade to the beautifully kept gardens, every part of the venue offers something unique. Whether it is intimate portraits beneath ancient trees, group shots on the grand staircases or quiet candid moments against historic stonework, Burghley House delivers images that feel both cinematic and personal.

The Wedding
Eloise spent the morning at home with her bridesmaids, where the atmosphere was relaxed and full of excitement. There were champagne toasts, music playing and plenty of laughter as the morning unfolded.
Watching her step into her dress, surrounded by her closest friends and family, was one of those moments that feels genuinely special to capture.
Not far away, Jake prepared for the day with his groomsmen at The Bull and Swan in Stamford. The setting was perfect for a calm and stylish start before heading to meet his bride.

A Ceremony to Remember
The ceremony itself was unforgettable.
Inside Burghley House, the space feels grand yet intimate at the same time. The painted ceilings and intricate details create an atmosphere that is hard to put into words.
As Eloise walked down the aisle, the moment felt timeless. The light streaming through the tall windows added a softness that made every glance, smile and tear stand out.
Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they exchanged vows in a setting that felt as meaningful as it was beautiful.
For us as photographers, it is an incredible space to work in. The mix of scale and intimacy creates images that feel both powerful and emotional.

Confetti, Portraits and Pure Joy
After the ceremony, the celebrations continued outside with a burst of confetti on the steps of Burghley House.
The moment was full of energy and laughter, with guests coming together to celebrate in the most joyful way.
We then moved into portraits, and this is where the venue really shines. The interiors offer a dramatic, editorial feel, while the grounds provide something softer and more romantic.
Eloise and Jake’s portraits had a natural elegance to them. They felt effortless, stylish and completely true to who they are.

A Celebration to Remember
The reception was filled with warmth, laughter and a real sense of connection.
The speeches were a highlight. There was a perfect balance of humour and emotion, with the room moving from laughter to tears in a matter of moments.
As the evening began, the energy shifted once again.
With DJ Mark Green setting the tone, the dance floor came alive almost instantly. Guests threw themselves into the celebration, and the atmosphere carried through the entire evening.
It was the perfect ending to an incredible day.
