So why choose a Natural Documentary Wedding Photographer?
When it comes to planning your wedding, every detail should be carefully considered and one of the most important decisions you’ll make is choosing your wedding photographer.
While it may seem like a daunting decision, it’s certainly one that will have a lasting impact on your wedding day memories.
It is essential to make sure that you get the perfect photographer to capture your special day and preserve your memories for a lifetime.
When researching your photographer here are two main schools/styles of wedding photography to consider.
Firstly there is the more traditional style where you will spend a lot of time on your wedding day being directed and posed by your photographer and then there is the more natural documentary style based on moment driven images that have actaully happened and not been forced, posed or staged.
Describing our style
We try not to pigeon hole ourselves in one of the main wedding photography categories as our style is very "our own" and we will shoot your wedding Kazooieloki Style.
But if you were looking to best describe how we approach a wedding day it would be a natural documentary photojournalistic approach with the obvious editorial artistic look to our couples portraits.
Documentary/photojournalistic wedding photography is a style of photography that focuses on capturing the real, raw moments of your wedding day without staging or directing.
We capture candid moments and give you a truly honest look at your wedding day through our lenses, whilst also shooting superb artistic editorial couples photos.
95% of all our photos are authentic natural images
95% of the images we shoot on a wedding day are real natural memories as our aim is to tell a story of your wedding day through natural photographs rather than ones that have been staged/posed by your photographer.
This in turn gives life and energy to your memories and when you receive your gallery it will be a true reflection of what actually happened on your wedding day.
Choosing a natural style wedding photographer and how it will give life to your memories, and also benefit your wedding day as a whole.
Documentary wedding photography is a style of photography that focuses on capturing the real, raw moments of your wedding day without staging or directing.
We capture candid moments and give you a truly honest look at your wedding day through our lenses.
We aim to provide you with the perfect combination of artistic creativity and timeless photos.
We speak to so many couples, not only ours but also guests on a wedding day who totally love our fun natural approach and how we work.
The amount of times we hear "we were at so and so's wedding and we didn't see the bide and groom for hours as they were off with the photographer" or "everyone was getting bored and frustrated as we had to do hundreds of group photos".
This is just not our style and if you are looking for that more traditional feel for your wedding day, then we are not the wedding photographers for you.
But if you are wanting dynamic, moment driven photography that is full of life and energy and reflects a true story of your wedding day then we just may be!
Traditions on a Wedding Day.
We do totally understand the traditions of having family photos and we do actually photograph these at most weddings although we ask them to be kept to a minimum and if we can have a little fun instead of you lined up as if you are about to face a firing squad then all the better.
Couples Photos.
We always take the bride and groom for a wander on their wedding day for their couples portraits but as any of our bride and grooms will confirm this will only be for around 20 minutes and its all about natural interaction rather then a series of pre ordained poses.
We do realise that most couples are not award winning international models so a little guidance always helps but there will never be a time you will be stood facing the camera saying cheese.
Still need convincing?
Listing some obvious benefits, and some maybe not so obvious ones about natural wedding photography.
• We strive to capture the true essence of your wedding, the emotions, and the special moments that make your day unique. We do not follow a pre ordained conveyor belt script with every couple.
Your wedding is unique and your memories should be too.
• As much as we are great company and you would have a great laugh with us, you want to spend your wedding day with your guests not wandering round for hours with your photographer creating staged pose after staged pose.
• Our style has the ability to capture candid moments that you won’t be able to recreate in a posed photo. This can make for some truly unique and special photos that you’ll love looking back on in the future.
• One of the main points of documentary wedding photography is to be able to capture the moments as they happen, without being intrusive or overbearing.
This can help make your wedding day a lot less stressful and ensure that you get the most out of your photos and also that you spend time with your wedding day guests.
• Overall, having a documentary wedding photographer is an excellent way to capture your special day in a unique and timeless way.
You’ll be able to look back on your photos and remember the emotions, moments, and memories of your wedding day as they actually happened.
