We have had some real highs over the last 12 months and none more so then last week when the incredibly talented and friend of Kazooieloki Photography Joanna Leigh Couture came calling and asked us to photograph a styled shoot spotlighting her designs.
When someone of Jo's standing asks you to be part of something, well everything else stops.
The passion for detail that Jo shows in her approach to everything is quite inspirational and something all of us could learn a lot from.
You don't get to the dizzy heights on talent alone, the hours of hard work and patience too are what make these bespoke bridal gowns what they are.

Jo already had a styled shoot in mind but had been let down at the last minute by the venue, so we had the massively long deadline of 3 days to turn things around. One of our strong points (apart from skills behind the camera) has always been "getting things done" so we wracked our brains of the contents of every wedding venue we have shot over the last few years to see what would be best suited to display these inspirational "works of art".
Jo's brief to us was "its not just about the dress, but about telling the story and painting a piece of art that just happens to have a wedding dress in it" so we contacted the Highfield House at Driffield in East Yorkshire, a superb Grade II listed Arts and Crafts home, owned and re-imagined by International Interior Designers Andy & Lindsey Lampard.
The Highfield House is an elegant showcase of lavish contemporary luxury so we thought this incredible venue would be perfectly suited to showcase Jo's work.
Kazooieloki Hull Wedding Photographer also shot the very first wedding at The Highfield House so we already knew Ollie Dales, their PR and Events Manager and she thankfully agreed to let us shoot there.
Or team was a collection of local creatives all known to ourselves being friends and trusted suppliers in the local wedding industry.
Hair was by the incredible Karl McKellar Plunkett from Xandrias.
Karl's ability to create magical wedding hair and adaptability made him a superb choice.
Makeup was by the superb Siana Hemmings and our always recommended Natalie K Hodge, who we have worked with on countless occasions.
What a team these two were.
Flowers were kindly provided by our recommended wedding florists The Flower Garden in Barton.

We believe the team followed Jo's vision and really did create magical pieces of art.
We couldn't be prouder of what we all achieved.
